What’s the difference in goggle lens shape?

Goggles use two primary lens shapes to enhance your vision and add style.

  • Cylindrical shaped lenses: These are your classic motorcycle style lens that feature a flat lens curved around a cylinder. For instance, our Relapse goggle is a cylindrical lens goggle. Cylindrical lenses taper to a thinner profile on the edges of the goggle which is important because it helps to reduce distortion.
  • Spherical shaped lenses: This shape, based around a sphere, can be seen on the Mig. The benefit of spherical lenses is that the lens mimics the curvature of your eye which creates an optically correct field of vision and reduces distortion and eye fatigue.
